Through discussion and surveys with our students we have also learned that students would like to work on deepening connections and relationships with other students and staff members in order to feel safe, cared for and part of a community.  Using that information, we worked as a staff to come up with ideas to build more connections for our students and each other.  We are coming out of the pandemic and able to be together more in larger groups.  This allows us to be together as a full school community to talk about Byng and how each of us all belongs to this school community. We are experiencing more Family Teams activities, school wide assemblies, student to student buddies, adult buddies to students who are not in our classes, enjoying Spirit Days, and having school wide fundraisers. We want students to feel safe, welcomed, and cared for in our building.
