B'YNG THE BEST YOU CAN BE

Hallowe'en @ Byng

Excitement is in the air for Hallowe'en! A few reminders from Byng:

- Thank to the PAC for hosting the Family Halloween Dance this past Friday night. It was a fun event for Byng families!

- Many classes are planning buddy activities (like pumpkin carving or Halloween themed activities) for Monday and Tuesday at school. Please watch for notices or your child's agenda for reminders and information.

- On Tuesday, October 31st, students (as well as staff & parents!) are very welcome to wear their costumes to school. We have no formal events planned, although we may do a Kindergarten Costume Parade in the hallway at about 9:00am that morning. A few reminders about costumes - please ensure that your child doesn't bring any toy weapons or scary masks to school (even light sabers). Save those for evening trick or treating, please! We will be outside for recess and lunch, please make sure your child can play and learn comfortably in their costume. Finally, you may wish to send your child with a change of clothes in the event that their costume becomes uncomfortable during the day.

- If your family is participating in evening Halloween events, please remember to stay visible and stay safe! Attached are some Halloween safety tips from the RCMP.
